soundhound is a 5-piece psychedelic/alternative rock band based in Burlington, Vermont. With a wide variety of musical backgrounds, soundhound’s original music transcends the confines of traditional genres, combining influences of indie rock, hard rock, classic rock, and folk into a unique catalog of songs that can appeal to any music lover. Influences include The Backseat Lovers, Big Thief, Pink Floyd, and many more. 

After months of casual jam sessions at the University of Vermont, soundhound materialized in February of 2025 for their first show. What followed was an exciting semester of original compositions, the release of their debut single ‘Redstone Blues’, and performances at various venues around the Burlington area. 

After a short summer hiatus, soundhound hit the ground running in the Fall semester of 2025, playing a total of 14 live shows, releasing two new singles ‘Two Toed Tony’ and ‘Twine’, and building a passionate local fanbase. 

It is safe to say that this is only the beginning for the band– the fire has been stoked and big things are in store for 2026. Follow along with soundhound by keeping an eye on the band’s social media and streaming sites for updates and new music.
